So I'm gay and I REALLY want to tell my best friend (guy) who has made fun of gays but I dont think he'd have a problem with me being gay. I act a little stereotypically gay around him sometimes so I dont think it would be a shock, but im afraid hed tell his parents or his brother and I only want him to know. Also, i dont want to change how i act (jokingly flirty) because i dont actually like him (in that way) at all and i feel like that might change, but i think he has an idea that i might be gay. i have brought up my acceptance of gay marriage and even sang same love today! i also have been talking about how i respect gays for being able to come out. Any advice on any of this would be great! not really a question but whatever. THANKS!:)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my parents are good friends with his and my mom thinks my gayness is a phase and my dad has no idea

If you really want to tell him, then I think you should. If you do, just be clear about how you feel. That it doesn't change your relationship, you don't have feelings for him just because you're gay, and that you don't want other people to know.

I'd say go for it. If he's a real friend, he'll stick by you. If not, you're better off without him.
