Who else is really excited for the new Smash Bros game? I wasn't at first until they announced that MegaMan is in the game, and then I proceeded to completely lose my shit :P

Any new characters you personally want in the game? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Pac-Man!

Abso-fucking-lutely.

I've been a fan of the series for a while now, and lost my shit at all of the past ones. This will be no exception.

When I saw MegaMan during the stream, I nearly flipped a table.

Since I go to a boarding school where I wouldn't take my Wii U if my life depended on it, I'm happy that the 3DS version will be released.

I'm not really focusing on the roster this time, as I'm sure it's going to be full of a shit ton of surprises, such Wii Fit Trainer.

Mewtwo has been considered A LOT by Sakurai, so I have good vibes on him getting back in with his new forme.

Also, there's currently a petition in place for Reggie Fils-Aime himself to be a playable character.

Crazy shit will happen, for sure.

I simply want the confirmed return of Lucas, the Pokemon Trainer (with gen 3 Pokemon),

And I want Ghirahim. Give me my motherfucking, creepy-ass Ghirahim.

Yeah, the Wii Fit Trainer definitely caught me off-guard, but I think she's a nice addition.

Mewtwo would be nice, but I'd rather see someone like Zoroark (following in the footsteps of Mewtwo and Lucario)

The Gen.3 pokemon trainer would be cool, with Mudkip Grovyle and Blaiziken.

Ghirahim would work as well, we need new villians! CMON RIDLEY!

Don't get me started on Ridley...

Zoroark would be okay...but it's kinda TOO traditional.

Like, I'm sure there's SOME other Pokemon that would be a better replacement than it.

As far as villains, specifically possible bosses, Ridley could come back AS A BOSS.

Koloktos would be good as a Zelda representative, and Kyurem for Pokemon.

Bowser Jr. Would make a great playable villain.

I wouldn't mind another character from kid Icarus either. Preferably a good guy, but I think Thanatos or Phosphora could be good villains too.

He makes a great boss, but they're a large amount of people requesting he's a character. I don't think he'd be THAT bad.

As far a pokemon go, it'd be nice to see a Fighting type get in, seeing as that's basically what they're made for. I was thinking Hitmonchan (If Little Mac doesn't get in) or Machamp.

The only thing that really stops Ridley from being acceptable is Samus. In all but one Metroid, Ridley was big as shit in comparison to Samus, so it would look much too weird to scale him down. Plus, the moveset would be limited, since in the past, Ridley tends to fly constantly while attacking.

Damn, forgot about Little Mac.

I'd love to see him in, sure, but think hard about his moveset, what the hell can he do? It'd be incredibly awkward just punching everything I think. Although I'd love to see Giga-Mac as a final smash.

Sure, MegaMan will be awkward too at first, since his standard attack is the MegaBuster, not a punch or kick, but Mac is MUCH more limited.

But think about it, Bowser is usually WAY bigger then Mario, and they managed to make that work. And Olimar is smaller then a battery ...

Little Mac could have brutal punching combos, and his final smash could be a Shoryuken lool. I dont know what they would do with him, but he was pretty good as a assist trophy.

Yes, but Bowser's size is very inconsistent. There are many instances where he used magic to make himself gargantuan, and there are times where he's maybe 2 Marios tall. There's no set size, so he actually kinda works.

Olimar works simply because there's nobody else in the Pikmin franchise that make his true size stand out. So long as his Pikmin are no higher than his shin, then scaling him up for gameplay works too.

Or a star-punch. It'd be like Marth's critical hit.

And speaking of Final Smashes, I think they need to replace all of the clone ones. I think that every character should at least be somewhat original.

And the Triforce slashes. And the PK Starstorms.

Also, Mario Finale, Konga Beat, Iceberg, and Peach Blossom need to become harder to dodge.

I could deal with the Triforce slash for Toon Link only because there's no signature move type thing that link could do. The TS was totally original and I can't think of a special move in Wind Waker that would replace it.

Same case with the PK Starstorms. But that's just my lack of knowledge on Mother 3. I'm sure there's something else Lucas could have done, but I just don't know of it.

Are you kidding? The Mario Finale is easy to dodge since most people who use it jump beforehand, and the Peach Blossom literally requires a hop to avoid. Besides that Final smash wasn't really a hindrance anyway.

Ice Climbers were turned to shit in Brawl, so I can see them having a hard to counter smash in the game, but it's terrible for them to move around, so I have to give that to them too.

Konga beat I agree with if it's a small stage.

And I also think End of Day, Great Aether, and Super Sonic are incredibly cheap.

End of Day is only dodge-able if you have Kirby, Meta-Knight, or Pit, otherwise you're basically screwed. It's really cheap.

Great Aether is easy to avoid, as long as Ike doesn't use it in the middle of a combo, which he usually does, and it's an auto-kill.

And I think Super Sonic is self-explanatory.

Agreed, End of Day is insanely cheap.

Great Aether is not an auto-kill by any means.
But it is cheap how it's commonly used In a combo.

Super Sonic, I honestly don't have TOO much of a problem with, only because it's hard to control. Not as hard as Volt Tackle, but still hard enough for someone who doesn't use Sonic often to use effectively.

True, I suck at using Super Sonic

I think the overall worst final smash is Meta-Knight's. It's too weak.

All we need is Sonic to be brought back, and the 3 platforming kings will finally be in one game together. :D

More likely, but not necessarily the best.

We're most likely talking about Pac-Man World Pac-Man, who literally just runs, rolls, bites, and bounces on his butt. He'd be a Jigglypuff clone only heavier and yellow.

That too, but I don't see how Crash would end up in Smash in the first place.
I hate to, for a lack of a better term, "smash" your wish here, but I can't see Crash ending up in Smash Bros. There's three reasons as to why:
1. Crash debuted on the Playstation, which is a Sony console. Now, this one can be solved if Crash was still owned by Naughty Dog, or some other company to allow him from a third-party company, but here's my next point:
2. Crash's reputation is done and over with. While we'll always remember the PS1 and some of the later games, like Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity, Crash's reputation took a massive hit when both Crash of the Titans and Mind over Mutant came and ruin what made Crash Bandicoot who he is.
3. While there are people who want Crash to come back (including me,) I don't think we'll see Crash ever again. Hopefully in the next few years, but maybe never again. I know I'm pessimistic about it, but that's just my general thoughts.

OBJECTION!

While I agree with all of these, they don't hold enough water to keep Crash out of Smash.

Crash did come from the PlayStation, and is no longer owned by Naughty Dog.

However, there's another character who was in a similar situation, Snake from Metal Gear, and while it may be that he was on Nintendo consoles, it was only twice or thrice, and all other times were on primarily PlayStation consoles. Metal Gear was a bit more of a mess to get for Smash I'm sure, since it bounced all over the placed. Unless Crash's current owner is a stubbornfuck, I think his possiblity of getting rejected because PlayStation is slim at best.

Now yes, basically, at this point in time, Crash Bandicoot is pretty much dead.

However, Crash getting into Smash can only be beneficial to his rep.

There was one character in a certain franchise, that while great, was very unpopular and basically buried as soon as it came out. Brawl revived this guy and gave him another chance, giving him a fresh coat of paint, a new franchise with a very bright future, and a cult following. That character was Pit from Kid Icarus. If he, who was basically an ant back then, become who he is now, then Crash, who already had a great run, and only needs a kick back in the right direction, can be brought back 10x as easy. Smash would be an effective way to do that, and not just for Nintendo's own characters. Doing this would probably spark enough faith to give Crash one last shot.

Well, again, Crash really isn't a competitor anymore, or rather, a completely washed up one.

And by that logic, why is Sonic in Brawl? His games have pretty much gone to shit. Hell, Sega was actually looking for a new mascot at one point. But they still let that once shining competitor into the ring.

Well, that's because Hideo Kojima is friends with Sakurai, the creator of Smash.
With Pit, I'm not sure what that was about, but we did get Uprising because of it. I guess there was a small support for Pit.
