I dont normally go in the puberty 101 section however after opening to the other sections I thought I would give it a go... I thought it has helping teens with puberty? not comparing porn and 13 yr olds having 9 inch penises! I felt like being sick!

so heres my suggestion, either have q maximum amount of users in there at a time so its easier to moderate or get more moderators that actually go in there!

We will not limit the amount of users. How would you feel if we cut off a maximum amount of users in ROTW? Or if someone needed some help in another forum, and couldn't because of a user cap?

Did you read the puberty rules?

To give you an example, this is copied from the rules.

Puberty for Boys (BOYS ONLY ALLOWED TO MAKE THREADS)

- Questions about penises: Size, cut/uncut questions, masturbation , underwear etc.
- Questions about body hair, facial hair, growth, height etc.
- Questions about experimenting and sex. (in accordance with the above rules)

You are permitted to ask about your penis size. You might not like it, I might not like it, but it is what some people do. Puberty is there to help them, and no one is forcing you to use it. You're welcome to disable it from your homepage, so you don't see them.

Puberty 101 is actually in the best shape it has been in in a LONG time. I'm extremely proud of the moderators that we have and the job they're doing. They're keeping it clean according to the rules, and we aren't just going to change them so they can't ask about penis size.

If you felt like "being sick" then don't go in there. Sure, some of the questions there are a bit "borderline" or ones that you don't buy as true, but that doesn't necessarily make them invalid.

So no, there will not be a "maximum amount of users in there" and our moderators are doing a fine job there, and everywhere. If you see anything inappropriate that we may have missed, report it instead of telling us that the whole forum needs to be fixed because there are a few inappropriate threads.

We do work hard in order to keep the section reasonably clean and in order. Yes I am aware some of the questions are pushing the line a little but if you don't like it then I'd suggest not going into puberty 101 at all.

Go to User CP --> User Options --> Scroll to the bottom and hide all the sections if you feel sick.

EDIT: We have 5 H&A moderators anymore and we'd be tripping over each other doing things, I like to think we do a good enough job to keep the place reasonably clean and yes I am more than aware bad stuff gets through but that's where you, the members come in and help us by reporting anything inappropriate.

Last time I checked you were not a Moderator. If you have an issue with the thread, report it, we'll look at it and see what needs to be done.

If it really bothers you, then you can always adjust your settings to hide the p101 sections. That way you don't have to see them at all. :)

I know:) I just thought I would bring to attention some problems with it, also with q few of the posts, the posters could actually be at risk of pedos:/

Sex tips are banned actually, usually people asking for techniques have their threads locked and moved to the archive.

And when this website was made, it states in the FAQ that the age restriction was set to 13 as it abides with the law.

true but a good few arent (not the fault of mods) and whats tge point of archiving them? theyre in breach.

and the under 13 is a different thing, suggesting and promoting illegal activity is a breach of the law however depending on the terms if service, the poster is probably responsible for that however if something bad happens and under certain circumstances the website could be held responsible

If you have an issue with a thread, as said, report it.

Again, going back to my quote..

- Questions about body hair, facial hair, growth, height etc.
- Questions about experimenting and sex. (in accordance with the above rules)

There is more to puberty than just growing and hair. The whole issue about bodies changing and reproduction falls into it. We don't allow sex tips, period. We're pretty on top of those, but if you see one, report it.

If you think we need to tighten up on the rules, please let us know how/which ones, because we'd love to know how we can improve.

We can not be responsible for anything if the users are over 13. If they masturbate with someone not from the site, how is it our problem what they do? That's like saying if someone on this site self harms, it's our fault. Masturbating isn't illegal dude. We don't allow caming and illegal activity, we ban those users right away. I can't see how we're doing anything illegal.

The reason they're moved to the archive is an attempt to stop people duplicate posting when there is already a question asked, that's why you see a lot of guests browse that forum.

Besides, everything this website does corresponds with the law. And the staff go to so much work just to keep people safe and under control, but you have failed to notice that. You've obviously taken their work for granted. The site has been going for 9 years. It's never needed to come to a point where the whole website was responsible because it's never needed to.

the mods do a brilliant job, im in no doubt of that, its rules and regulations that need improving, why archive this crap? both of these had responses and was on the first page:

That's why they're archived. People can't respond, and will know in the future what can't be asked. If someone is incredibly inappropriate it will be deleted altogether.

It's not that simple. If you haven't noticed, a lot of members in that section disregard the rules, which is why there are so many inappropriate threads. Mods can't read through every single post, so we really appreciate it when members report things that are wrong so they can be taken care of.

sure if its off topic or something harmless, archive but if been deleted for being inappropriate it should be deleted in my opinion, this is ment to be a friendly helpful helpsite, perverts on here ... enjoy such topics and such pervets should not be encouraged, I could in 5 minutes give you 10 perverts who broken no rules but are creepy and creating a bad atmosphere, and the mods, including yourself do a brilliant job, you have my respect however I think there are problems with the section that lie deep and should be ironed out

That is a risk you must take when using the internet: it is open for everyone to view, with all the consequences thereof. By signing up for this website, you agreed to that.

And while it may not be calming, it's not really a problem until they violate our rules. We cannot control what people do.

You're more or less asking us to ban people who we suspect of being perverts without any real proof, which is not going to happen. We could if we wanted to, but that's just unfair. What if the assumption is untrue?

Please remember, we're on the internet. If you post something, it's there for everyone and anyone to see. A while back somebody who was a very close friend of mine from this site turned out to be fake -- everything he said was make up -- I don't even know how old he really was. It's actually happened more than once with me. It sucks, but again, you're taking that risk yourself by going onto the internet.

3/4 people in there is probably fake in there, thats not my problem, my problem is that people are sharing sex tips, spit or swallow, are big boobs good and is anal good. this isnt sex-ed and is grossly inappropriate in my opinion for a teen site

Why is this being debated and argued about so much?
The mods and admin thoroughly explained to the OP why they don't do what they suggested. That should be the end of it.
The moderators of the H&A/Puberty sections do a very good job of enforcing the section rules and any threads that contain things like you listed are promptly locked. Like the staff already said, if you see something that breaks the rules then you should report it, but not post a lingering rant here about it!

You can't assume that because someone asks a dodgy question that they are a "creeper". Since we are --online-- people will ask questions that they would never ask in outside life because their is no physical judgement or humiliation passed on like you would if you asked in the outside world.

In my time on staff I've seen a lot of things and seen a lot of truths but things like this are always best left to staff. If you suspect someone and have more evidence than a dodgy post then yes report it to a member of staff, preferably a Gmod as they have banning powers and other abilities.

Like Harry said we encourage all members to report posts and other rule violations.
