Those of us under 16 are still classed as "children" (huh). We usually hate that, but hold on: I was just saying to my GF that I enjoy being a kid still! No one expects much of me, no hard decisions, school holidays, easy life. Of course the downside is that my folks make most of the decisions for me -- no freedom -- having to do as I'm told. But hey, our day will come soon enuf and you only get one summer to enjoy whilst you're 13! I wanna make the most of this summer and enjoy it!

Totally agree. Being a kid is like the best! I hate to think about the stuff and responsibilities I'll have when I'm am adult. Can't imagine it

Being a teenager is good, I'm 18 so I'm at the end of being a teenager and I can tell you its been one hell of a journey! for me 14/15/16 is the best 3 years of it, underage drinking, girlfriends starting to come into the picture, sex, puberty really hitting you all of that stuff made it pretty exciting! 17 was rather boring, didn't have much going on at that point although I did go on my first ever holiday with my mates to Ibiza which was AMAZING! and like I said, I'm 18 now, and since I'm from Scotland(UK) it means I can buy drink, fags, etc and basically thats when you get ultimate freedom and become an adult in this country, so you could say I'm an adult, I do miss being 14/15/16 at times, but these days are better and I'm looking forward to getting older and moving out and having more responsibilities as boring as it sounds it will be more fun because after living with the parents for 18 years, I feel like its nearly time to get the fuck out lol!!

From being 12 and getting to now, it's been some hell of a journey. I compare to to having your metaphorical old room of your childhood self and world, and then you reorganize it into the new room of your adult self and world. With the start of the reorganizing everything is a damn mess, but then everything starts to come together again. That turning point was June of this year for me. The journey as a teenager so far has been amazing, but not something I want to repeat. I am nowhere near the end- better enjoy what I have left of it, because things have never been better with myself and my life.

If someone were to ask me what the best year of my life has been so far, it'd be 2013. Next year, there's no doubt it'll be 2014.

Our lifetime here is limited, but that's what makes it so special. You can achieve practically anything if you put your mind to it. And if thinking of all the stuff the past or the future makes your head spin, be in the here and now. There's no better place to be.

And my life takes another step when I enter my final year of secondary school tomorrow. Things are changing faster than ever before.

Adults always say they miss the time when they were in their early teens. They must be right.

I miss my early young age, however I would only be a child if I could keep my today's brain :)

I can attest to that! Enjoy your youth! With all the good things about adulthood also comes the bad!

"shit and boring" Try having a shit and boring job, then at the end of the month giving pretty much all your money away to 'live' but hey atleast I have a slightly mediocre social life when I can get the weekends off work! it's wonderful being in an adult life. Pft. enjoy being under 18, that's when it kicks off.

We work as adults in hopes we can return to our youth.

I'm terrified of growing up, but I think I tend to think too short term. I honestly couldn't imagine life after I turn 18.
