Is the McDonald's McDouble the 'cheapest, most nutritious and bountiful food that has ever existed in human history?'
In terms of 'the cheapest, most nutritious and bountiful food that has ever existed in human history,' the golden arches of McDonald's probably isn't the first thing to pop into your mind.
But they should - according to a New York Post columnist and an economics blogger, anyway.
Post columnist Kyle Smith made a pretty compelling case for the McDonald's Mcdouble's giving diners the most bang for their nutritional buck.

That's nice, but I probably won't end up eating it...I don't like McDonalds as much and would only go if I had coupons or something.

Odd. The value menus are usually the least healthy options. They're certainly the least real. That's why they're so cheap.

Since watching Supersize Me, it's completely thrown me off fast food. But if you do want to binge on oil and grease, I'm not going to stop others. They say it's the most price-efficient. I say it's the most cheapest stock they can get at the most sellable price.

It's been proven that every single food product sold by McD is 100% real. That doesn't make it all that healthy though.

Oh no it hasn't. Sister works there and took a few minutes to take pics of the mc fillet ingredients. No fish AT ALL. So no, it's definitely not 100% real.

Damn... It's funny because I work there too. I think I'm gonna go check that out. It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that I want to see it with my own eyes.

Interesting, but I doubt it. Nothing sold at McDonald's is truly "healthy" . :P

Low calorie doesn't necessarily mean healthy. This might be a 'low calorie' fast food option, however, I believe it's pretty close to as bad (if not exactly) as any other burger from McDonalds. By all means, it's interesting, but I don't really believe it.
