New JFK documentary alleges there WAS a second shooter in the assassination... and he was a Secret Service agent who shot the president by ACCIDENT!
Many conspiracy theorists unhappy with the official account of the assassination of John F. Kennedy have pointed to evidence they believe shows that the president was shot twice, from different directions.
Now a new documentary has come up with a new twist on the conspiracy theory, claiming that a Secret Service agent was the man who fired that shot... by accident.
JFK: The Smoking Gun claims that George Hickey, a Secret Service man riding in the car behind Kennedy, accidentally fired his weapon on November 22, 1963.

Interesting...but I don't believe it. People are always making up crazy conspiracies over shit.

I never trust conspiracy theories and some documentaries are able to be brought up on false premises. I'm dismissing this until something I can't doubt happens.

There have been conspiracy theories about John F. Kennedy's assassination floating around since the damn thing happened. While it's interesting to entertain the thought at times, and it makes for an interesting discussion or research opportunity, at the end of the day no one really knows. We have a general idea, but the time is so long past that there's nothing left that can be done to find out. This is the second new theory to come out just this year, the first being a speculation and study of Lee Harvey Oswald's ties to the Cuban government and Fidel Castro around the time of Kennedy's assassination. At this point in time, as interested as I am in things like this, I have essentially just taken what the Warren Commission determined with a grain of salt and moved on--there is no point in speculating things like this, especially in this instance--I think that the notion that a secret service agent accidentally fired his gun into Kennedy from behind is absolutely preposterous and could not possible have any merit to it. But that's just my two cents.
Don't mind me, just passing by.

Anyone who believes that Lee Harvey Oswald actually acted alone is an idiot. There is NO way that the man could have made the shot that actually killed Kennedy. Use your minds people, there was at least one more person on that grassy knoll that day.

Umm I'm pretty sure lee harvey could have done it himself....however it is quite possible that there was another shooter I just recently watched somthing where it's aid there was one over on the right that was behind a fence or somthing...and they had a picture and everything but I wasn't really paying to much attention to the show

Umm, why not?
This is an old theory, published in 1992 as "Mortal Error" written by Bonar Menninger. Hickey sued the publisher and although the case was thrown out on the grounds he waited to long to sue, the publisher settled with him privately anyway. It was rubbish then and it's rubbish now.
This comment on the news story represents my feelings on the issue; it was scientifically plausible for Lee Harvey Oswald to land two shots, and ballistic studies show that there was nothing "magical" that occurred. This is just another conspiracy theory, and since the event happened so long ago, there are no good witnesses left. People will continue to speculate and share their crazy theories, leaving the children of tomorrow believing stupid things like this rather than showing them how it easily could've happened.

Because it was physically impossible. Exit wounds are larger than entrance wounds, and JFK's exit wound was almost an entire side of his skull. From where Oswald was positioned, there is no way his bullet could have just changed directions while it was penetrating Kennedy's body. It's just silly not to think that there had to be a second shooter for this to have occurred.

I think that's interesting but too many conspiracy theories and what not, you just don't know what's exactly true,

Because Oswald had a markmenship rating of 202, every sees the marine marksmen badge and assumes he's buffalo bill, everyone in his unit said he was a terrible shot.
Oswald reeks of CIA connections, literally reeks of them. The CIA was at war with the Kennedy's after bay of pigs, tie the mafia and Cuban exiles into that and you have three very dangerous groups who wanted Kennedy dead.
The Doctor who performed Kennedy's post mortem said that their was an entrance wound in the front of his neck, not the back. Was he interviewed by the Warren committee? No
There is so many factors which just don't add up about JFK and his death and I haven't even got onto Jack Ruby

I'm not going into any discussion as to why JFK was assassinated; there's so much murkiness around it all, I don't think there are many people alive that know the truth. But as to how? There's sufficient evidence for a trained sniper to make those shots, and there's absolutely no reason to reject the accepted theory and believe the conspiracy theories.

It is entirely possible that there were two shooters. Honestly, Lee Harvey Oswald probably had someone else in on the assassination, just in case. I don't think anyone is ever going to know for sure what happened.

Either way, he's dead and anybody else who could have done it is most likely dead. I think it might be time to accept that we'll never really know.

Bullshit it doesn't matter. The fact that you have a possible government hand in the mix of this entire situation shouldn't be played off. Saying that it "doesn't matter" that the leader of our country was assassinated, possibly on orders from the national government or a foreign government, is just being ignorant.

Do you have any idea how long ago that was? Blame the government in your crazy conspiracy all you want, but why would the government be the same organization they were such a long time ago?
And he was president before I was born, I'm not supposed to care.

Then, by this logic, you shouldn't care about ANYTHING that happened before you were born that had an affect on the history of the world. For all you know, had an event like WWII ended differently, you might not have been born! But keep on not caring, obviously this is productive.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm not losing any sleep over this. I have better (and more relevant) things to think about.
You guys have fun debating about something from last century :)

This dude is dead.
All the way dead.
Blaming the death on different people isn't gonna do smack.
People need to start focusing their energy on more important things, like missing children, or, or TERRORISTS.
