You can't make someone like you, they either do or they don't. It's that simple. To make someone like you wouldn't even be right either. Stop stressing, relax and go with the flow. Trust me it's a lot easier that way than to keep constantly think 'I need a girlfriend' or whatever, because honestly, you don't. Just be you, don't try to change yourself for anyone or anything. Talking helps, confidence too.

My advice: don't start off by flirting.
It can be uncomfortable for us, especially if our friends are around.
Before I even consider if I'd like to date a guy, I have to get to know him. You know, starting off as friends and going out with a big group of people. After I feel comfortable around the other person, I'd start to want to hang out with the person in a smaller group or alone.

When your in a setting like that, show her little signs that you're interested; for example, pull out a chair for her, give her your coat when she's cold, and make eye contact and smile. When your ready, and you think she's interested in you, just tell her, either by spoken words or by a letter that you hand to her in person. Don't ever confess by text or email. It'll make you seem unconfident, and most girls love confidence. ^^
