Hi I'm new here, when I was two I lost my dad he died in a car accident, it has affected my mum and sometimes I think she looks at me and wishes mine and my dads situation was swapped around.is it weird that even though I can't remember my dad I still feel like there's a huge chunk of me missing

I know how you feel. My dad passed away last October and I can really relate to that empty portion that opens up in your heart. The one thing I've learned, however, is to try and take the positive qualities you inherited from him and implement those into your life. So, in a way, you're kind of living in his place. A close friend of mine told me this, and it's made me feel better about myself

I'm sorry to hear about your dad... I try to do some of the things that he used to enjoy when he was alive like going for long walks and seeing his favourite bands, mum dosnt talk about him and I think that's why I still feel this emptiness and loss of connection
