Friends way older or way younger.

I have two friends. One is 12 years old and one is 38 years old... I just find them really nice and understanding. I've met both of them at my martial arts classes.

The 12 year old is the best person I've ever met. :D

Anyone else have friends a few years younger or older? Or do you tend to stick with people around your age.

Well, I do have older friends 23+ because of my workplace, I don't even notice they're older than me. Younger I have friends to the age of 15, again I never really realise they're younger. They're practically like me.

I have a few friends who are almost 20, or are in their 20's.
I tend to be able to relate more to, and converse better, with people who are older than I am.

I've always preferred hanging out with older people, rather than people who are around my age, or younger.

I often have had or have currently had older friends due to where I've worked or the activity that I've done and have met people 25+ and I really like having somewhat older friends as usually they are slightly more mature than some of my current friends.

Honestly I like having older friends. Age is but a number and all that :D

I never had an outlet where I was able to make friends significantly younger/older than me. I have friends up to three years either way, but other than school, there aren't many places where I could meet friends.

Playing competitive level gaming has brought me some friends of different ages. A bunch are in their 20s.

That's pretty interesting. I'd never have a friend that old now because I'd be either uncomfortable or weirded out. I hate talking to people much older then me, its annoying.

And don't even get me started on younger.

Everyone I hang out with graduated this year, and I have friends of all ages in college. I think my oldest friend that I hang out with regularly is 22. I just enjoy the company of people older than me, like most of you probably do.

In real life I tend to stick with people my age, usually in my own year (15/16). I just find myself more comfortable and it's easier that way. Online however I tend to befriend people older than me, they're more mature (usually) and I get along a lot more easily, people from my age up to 22 years.

Since my bf is much older we I have friends around his age as well as friends from school I see nothing at all as wrong with this as long as there is some kind of common ground that brings you together. If you 16 or 17 and just going out looking for someone way older or younger well that may raise a few eyebrows

On the web, I have friends who are older than me. Some are in their 20's.

One of my oldest friends who is 20.5. I met him when I was 6 and he was 11.We have been best friends ever since. He is having a child this month! Oh how time flies.

The most of my firends are younger than me ( 1-2 years ) but i have and older than me friends :) ..i dont think the age mattter but what youh ahve in commor matter more

Yeah. Age shouldn't matter. All of my friend from school are either 11 or 12. They're more mature than everyone else and I have a lot in common with them. :)

I've never had a close "real" fridnd before. But people who have pretended to be my friend, or that I don't like very much but I hang out with anyways, are usually 1-3 years older than me.

Yup I have friends who are 19-30 and 8-12 the only friends I have who are my age are the ones who I've known seen elementary school
