OP is male-bodied and fears that she will one day grow into a stereotypical man (hairy/muscular) without hormone pills.

I don't have a lot of experience with transgenders or the hormone pills, so I couldn't really give any useful advice concerning the side effects of the pills. Since you're 16, your body can still mature, but I think you would look more muscular/hairy by now if you were going to look that way in the future; your dad is the best indicator of what you might look like.

Make no mistake if you are to be hairy and manly then you will be. I used to feel transgender too and times still do but in the end you can only change the physical of anything. If it worries you that much, I have gotten hairy myself (kinda), I may be a guy but I hate body hair. I wish you well but no, hormones and body hair are not always connected. Some women are hairy, sorry but true.

when you're 18 you should be able to make your own decision anyways so i wouldn't be too worried

That sounds like me now, but I got over it, I couldn't picture myself with long hair, boobs, and a vagina, so no, I may not like being a male all the time but I don't think I'd want to change. I wish you well. I'm not too masculine bodied or masculine as is which isn't exactly helping either.

Sometimes I see people and I can't tell whether it's a boy or girl. Then I remind myself that it doesn't matter, that I would only change he to she if it was a girl or she to he if it was a boy.
I'm still getting used to gender equality, since for the longest time my mom has been telling me that girls should be treated different and act different. But it's really the choice of the individual what they will act like or dress like. Just do what makes you feel comfortable, try making little changes here and there about your routine and dressing and such, and see the effect. Just remember that pretty soon people will finally stop worrying so much about a person's gender, because all in all it's about the person, not they're body and hormone structure. I think most of these stereotypes have driven from social media and life, because of how girls and guys have been put into specific roles for no reason. Well, how do these roles benefit the world? We need more people who can be themselves rather then fill in a gender role.
Sorry for rambling, just do what YOU feel comfortable with and if anyone has a problem with it, then it's their own problem, not yours.
