I found an amazing way to stop acne. Just regular body wash, mine is a softsoap for men mosturizing body wash. The kind you'd use on your body. Use this on your face and wash and rinse it lots of times every shower.
Its great because you can wash wash your face 10 times in one shower and it won't dry out your skin.
Sorry for the random post but what acne i had cleared up completely within a week.

Thanks for reminding us that the best treatment for acne is simple, good hygiene (and a decent diet).

Washing excessively can worsen acne. Wash your face two times a day and shower regularly.

And avoid regular soap because it will dry your face out which causes the oil and whatnot to stay trapped there.

While that make work for you ...
And washing your face up to ten times (or even more than twice) a day is a bad idea, and it will dry out your skin if you persist with that daily. Face washes contain chemicals to cleanse your face and remove excess oil, and are only meant to be used at maximum twice a day.
And acne for most teenagers is hormonal (extra hormones buzzing around in the body causes things like the pores in your skin to produce more oil, clogging the pore and causing the pimpes you see), and cannot be fixed just by just washing your face and good diet and hygiene (though that does help). What will help it however, is (good diet and hygiene) combined with a hormone balancing supplement from your doctor.
Thanks for trying though. :)

personally i take a soft microfiber wash cloth while im showering put a lil soap on it, and wash my face real good for a bit. the only pimples ive had were on the top of my forehead, so when i had them i just let my bangs go there =P

Actually, water from the shower doesn't keep your skin moisturized, necessarily. Shower water can dry out the skin because of left-over minerals from water treatment plants. The level of minerals depends on the plant that treats your water.
As Lauren said, it can definately dry out your skin. I agree that body wash may work, I agree that if you keep your body clean, you will have less pimples. That means taking 1 or two showers each day, not ever skipping a day. If I miss one day, I have pimple problems for the next 2 weeks. If I exercise during the day after my morning shower, I should take another one.

No, that's your PE teacher advocating for himself!
Working out helps your entire body, which obviously includes your skin. But, zits are caused not by a lack of exercise, but a dramatic increase in the skin's output of natural oils.

Hahaha guys when i said 10 times in one shower i was exagerating, im sure that would dry your skin out, duh. lol
My point is that before I was hesitant using soap and acne medications becuase my skin would dry out, then I'd have to put lotion on or stop use which obviously lets the acne back. But this mositurizes and cleans at the same time solving both problems.

Thanks Sam, always good when you reinforce what I say, or say it for me, for that matter.
