Metallica is one of the legendary metal icons of the 1980s, but what the FUCK happened to them? Ever since And justice for all... they're music has gotten lamer and lamer. Ive even heard some countryish songs and power ballads. It saddens me, does this sadden anyone else?

They're brains got eated by aliens. (I never really followed them much, but I agree that they used to be much better [thats not the word, but I can't think of the word right this second] than they are now)

They got a taste of Power and Money and now crave, leaving their music sounding like vietnamize people pulling out their intestines.

after their bassist dies in a tragic car accident (may his soul rest in peace) Metallica started to become a very dysfunctional group... and u can see this when u listen to songs recorded after "nothing else matters" was released. but everyone else is right, pritty much they started to care about money and fame more than their music and their fans... :(
they are coming out with a new album soon... lets hope its not BS

a band can only have so many years in their prime. I personally am not a fan of most music made after the mid 90s by any band
