Hiya guys and gals,
the title is pretty self explanatory. So I want to get fit and healthier but I am currently lacking enough motivation to get out of my room and do it so I want some community advice!

I got fit (even though I never was quite out of shape) because I do not have any desire to die early.

My motivation was modeling and being effective on my swim team. I thought to myself, there's no way I can be on a swim team or model if I'm not fit.

I just want to show people that I'm actually good at something, like soccer or swimming.
Looking better is the icing on the cake.

I was bullied all my life for being big... Unfortunately, I ate my feelings down and that made me bigger. I am now nearly 300 and need to work on my weight.
My school doesn't have Physical Education, so i had to join a sport. At the time I weighed 260-280 pounds. So i joined wrestling. It worked for fat and energy, but I gained weight I am a little over 285 right now. But I know I am getting better. I recently had a blood test and I have
-bad cholesterol
-high blood pressure
-high triglycerides
it wasn't a little over. I was nearly 100 points over each. That was my motivation. I wanna be a father and get to 18 without a heart attack. So I am still trying to lose the weight. I hope no one has to suffer like this anymore.
Well sorry for the sob story, I just had to try to inspire some people not have the same problem as me... Have a great day!

Well, once Summer vacation draws to a close( because during the Summer I'm a lazy slob who never works out and eats 24/7) THEN I will get to working out. My motivation is, surprisingly enough, strong guys. I'm not a lesbian, but I envy guys who are stronger than me. I guess I'm scared of not being able to defend myself, and I'm planning on not looking for a partner till I'm an adult, which means I'm pretty much on my own till then, so I have to be responsible to defend myself.

My motivation was I was sick and tired of being skinny and weak. I want to have a job with it like being a Strength and Conditioning coach. I also want to be a bodybuilder/powerlifter. I would prefer to be a powerlifter but the gear is pretty expensive. :/ (300$ for a squat suit!) I can't wait to see what I can accomplish when I am 16. I went from barely 100 pounds to 140 pounds and I didn't gain that much fat. :D

I just wanted some muscle tone instead of being really skinny.

We both used to be scrawny, shy geeks. No confidence, low self esteem. DO scared to talk to girls. We hated it. We weren't happy with ourselves or how we looked.

Our motivation was to change our lives. We hit the gym to get confidence in ourselves, to be happy with who we are. To push ourselves and to grow as people. We are still on that journey and my new goals is to become a shredded beast

Working out has changed us completely. We're now both loud, popular guys living the aesthetic lifestyle and want to help as many people as we can do the same!

I was born with low muscle tone, tight hamstrings, tight quads, etc from having hydrocephalus. I mean, it really screwed me over. I'm going to do my best to motivate myself to get in shape. I couldn't care less about looking good cuz I know that if a girl just starts complimenting me on nothing but my body, then she's not for me.

Everybody is self conscious in one way or another, and we all want to look better, but we can only do that through our bodies and the way we present ourselves, the rest is genetic.
My body was never bad, I just feel like there is always some improvement to do - whether that be bigger, stronger, more defined, faster, more flexibile, e.t.c

Wasn't bothered about being some gym monkey or one of these people constantly taking selfies, I just wanted to be able to run, climb and fight a little bit.

I want to go into the Air Force, so it's important that I get myself in better shape so I don't get killed in basic training.

I train because as crazy as it sounds "I love to train because I train for myself, and to be able to use the strength I build to help others."

I don't train to build the muscle i'm building to attract anyone.

I mean attracting someone by your looks is rather feminine! After all women have traditionally attracted males using their looks where as males have traditionally attracted women by PROVING they can do something with their muscles other then just stand there flex a set of washboard abs and just look good.

I've always been pretty fit, but I'm motivated to stay that way.

1. I want to be healthy and don't want to be at risk for more health issues that are associated with being unfit.
2. I want to look good in a bikini, and be confident.
3. I horseback ride and want to be as good at it as possible, and being fit is a necessity for that in my opinion.

How do I stay fit?
1. Swimming (for my entire body)
2. Stationary bike and treadmill (for my legs)
4. Volleyball + Badminton (for my arms)
3. Horseback riding (for my legs, balance, and sanity)
