Ok right, so i got a scaffold/industrial piercing about 2 weeks ago, been cleaning it properly everyday had no problems, until yesterday, and it has swollen quite a bit and has gone really red, it hurts a lot more now than it did, and everything online iv found say just to let it do its thing, and it will be fine.. but i don't want it to go pear shaped and have to take it out.. because i think it looks awesome!
anyone got any tips for cleaning it, or if i need to go to the doctors about it?

Like Jack said, go to the doctors as an ear infraction/being infected usually takes a long period to go away and can cause a lot of problems.

I've had every kind of ear infection in the book, particularly the ones related to piercings. Obviously, I can't diagnose or anything since I'm not a doctor, but I may be able to give you some advice if you elaborate on a couple things.
First, is it oozing at all? Next, what kind of pain is it? Is it like an intense, burning pain, or a dull kind of throb, etc?
