I agree with Siobhan, animals have no method of consent and therefore we can't prove if they're willing and therefore it is wrong.

I do think however, bestiality is wrong even if animals did have a method of consent.

Would you have sex with someone if they passed out? It's the same as that, the animal cannot give consent. It's absolutely terrible I think, it can cause injuries for the animal and it's just a bit weird

Personally I think it morally wrong because consent is not when there is no 'no' it's when there is a 'yes'. An animal cannot tell you yes, ergo there is no consent.

This. It isn't that animals won't or can't give consent, it's that animals do not know that consent exists (and can't), therefore it'd be impossible for one to give consent. As mentioned, consent is saying 'yes,' it isn't having the ability or wanting to say yes or no.

Well, I'm a Christian and it clearly states that, unlike homosexuals who ARE human, if a guy or girl does it with an animal, they will burn in Hell :)
Sexual relations should not be had unless both members give clear consent, which animals can't, and even if they could, it would still be wrong in every sense of the word. Please, keep animals as pets and not relatives -_-

It really comes down to the whole consent thing. animals can not consent to having sex yet they are able to perform sex with whatever and whoever regardless. so in the law yes it is illegal. but in honestly if humans and animals were able to communicate between each other it would be a completely different outcome and human animal relations would be a everyday occurrence.

While sex with animal is Gennerally traumatizing for the animal as a sort of rape, in the event that we find a way for an animal to give consent (translators or genetic engineering or something of that sort) I would have nothing against those who have sex with animals with said animals consent. In addition, I have absoulutely nothing against the marrying of a human and an animal, so long as there is no forced sexuality and the animal is reasonably intelligent(for an animal). You can love an animal romantically perfectly well, and if said animal gives emotional basic consent to the act of asexual marrage, then I am fine with that. (No I am not a beastaliac, I simply believe in equality.)

An animal can give consent, it's called trying to fuck you. Primates have been known to attempt to have sex with humans before, so are dolphins.

Um maybe because if somebody/someone/something doesn't give consent then they don't want to do it?? You have no way of knowing. Sex is consensual. Always. It goes hand in hand. If it's not consensual, it's not sex, it's rape.

Consent implies that I want to do something. Lack of consent doesn't imply anything.

I'm asking the people here. If any of them happen to be part of the above two, then their answers would be acceptable, too.

I also don't see why I'd hold the answers of rape victims or molested kids above anyone else's.

They are entirely unrelated to the point.

Someone not giving consent and being raped has nothing at all to do with the explanation of why it would be wrong to do something without the consent of another.

As well, I'm sure it's the decision of only rational people to call someone a troll and run away just because they ask you questions that you're unable to answer.

Although I have no problem with the actual idea of people urm... liking animals (I have no problems with furries for example), I think that carrying out the physical fantasy of bestiality would not only be hard, but could definitely be considered rape but there would be a few factors.

I don't think you can catch a std that is only in dogs as some stds are species specific. but there are infections called zoonoses you can catch. I think it is pretty low to get one though. otherwise can you imagine trying to tell the person you are with how you have a zoonoses disease lol.
