Both are very average games, I'd probably incline towards League of Legends since it does have some fun to it if you can get over the huge difficulty spike, long games, and harsh community.

WoW hands down. It's more diverse than league, and it doesn't get as repetitive.

The only one I have played is WoW that was for a very short time, but I would have to say I prefer WoW because I like MMORPG type games.

man... what are you even doing? you can't compare these two games. they are so hugely different.
WoW is a MMORPG, compare it to Runescape.
LoL is a MOBA, compare it to DotA 2

These two games functions very differently and are played very differently. I would have to say LoL, because it is the game i mainly play, but i have played WoW. it has its own aspects which are different from LoL, but seriously man.

I play lol pretty regularly.

But to truly enjoy either of the games you NEED to play with friends.
