I think my friend could be gay/bi

So I have a friend. Let's call him Joe. We were hanging out the other day and he mentioned that when he was younger he thought he might be gay. All day yesterday he had been in a bad mood, so he said it was because he was confused about a few things right now, but wouldn't tell me. He has a girlfriend who he loves, but I think he's questioning. He always acts weird when I talk about hot guys or girls, as if he's hiding or it he's unsure about it, and I just don't know. I care about him but there's something up and I think that might be it.
Do you guys think I'm reading into it too much? Or would you think he's gay/bi/questioning too?

He could very well be questioning who he is. Then again, he may be having trouble in his homelife. My best advice is to just avoid those topics and go about a normal day. =D
