I see nothing wrong with you asking, the worst she could say is no but if she does, at least you asked... Meeting friends is not easy and maybe to get new friends is to maybe start talking to people and maybe join a few clubs inside/outside of school.

EDIT: I'm here if you need to talk ;)

Thank you. I know a lot of friends from my martial arts classes, but they either go to different schools or we don't have any of the same classes together. I'll try being more social when school starts up again.

you just gotta hang in there girl! you should try to make some friends in your classes so that way you might find someone to sit with at lunch. hope this helps!

Of all the people I never imagined you to not have friends. You just need to be less shameful of approaching people, believe me you can just join in a conversation and get a friend from there.

You're right. I should have some time, though. I can see a lot of people before lunch starts. If all else fails, I can hope the girl in my first post has lunch with me.
I'll try that. I feel much more confident this year.

You'd be surprised how many friends you can make by laughing at Spongebob quotes or mentioning other nostalgic things from your past (like Pokemon). Chances are, someone will also have loved those things, and it's easier to talk about those similar interests. For me, I could just say "This is a load of barnacles" or "Big. Meaty. Claws." and people in class would think it's the funniest thing since sliced bread.

I'd say humor is the best way to warm up to people, and it isn't hard to make friends from there; the hardest part is getting the courage to put yourself out there and sometimes make yourself look silly, but there are definitely fun people willing to do the same.

I've experienced some laughs. I won class clown for three years straight. I'll try making friends. I do have a few friends coming into the 7th grade, and they won't be in my lunch.

Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that the only reason I'm worried about this is because... There's one guy who I've had some strange things happen with. I leave the area when I see him. Like he was standing there and I when I saw him, I turned around. I really do not look forward to having lunch with him or his brother. I really would be just fine if I had it at a different time, but I can not see him.
I do have an option of not sitting by him. Believe me, I would NEVER. I basically just sit in the table by the corner with no one else obviously. I just need a different lunch.
Anyway, I'm not even completely sure if the dude even has my lunch, but his brother definitely does... I saw his schedule. So there's a chance that he could be there as well.
Just to be clear, he's my ex. I hate him.

I can't believe I had not mentioned that in the first post, lol. Sorry but this is my real problem. D:

I just found out he is in my lunch this year... I'm going to pretend I don't notice him, but he'll still say something. I might attemp to get my lunch changed to 5th period, but it might not work. I doubt they will give me a different lunch for no good reason at all.

I know what it's like to eat alone at lunch. Hell, I've had to do it 3 times throughout my life. What I mean by that is that I've been the new kid to 3 different states within 9 to 10 years. I have friends, but I'm mostly a loner.
If it makes you feel a little better inside, I would eat lunch with you. I'm an upcoming sophomore, but I don't care about that. As long as you don't feel alone at lunch anymore, I'll be happy... even if we live in two different parts of the USA. ^_^

Yay my schedule got changed but my lunch is still 6th... just the order of the classes got changed though. And thank you Gen-Kun, you seem like a cool person.
I just transferred school districts once.

I'm in like the best classes a 10th grader can take. I even take AP World. I move and transfer so much thatI never really have friends at school. I've become pretty shy and it's hard for me to make friends and stuff. Once I get to know people I'm pretty fun and outgoing and all that, but people don't usually give me much of a chance lol I think they see my as the nerdy shy kid that tries to be cool, or so that's what I've been told lol but I understand you.
