So, my iPhone is pooping out and a friend gave me their old windows phone, and I got a new SIM card for it that I need to activate. (I use Verizon btw)

My question is, if I activate it, and transfer my account onto it, will it void my iPhones SIM card? Like if I ended up losing or breaking the phone and I wanted to switch back to my iPhone will I be able to enter that SIM card's number again and switch it back or would I need to get another one?

I wish I could make it easier by using that one, but they use different SIM cards.

You should ask Verizon to confirm. In my experience, it works best to go to a actual store, and ask the person behind the counter directly. Hide a tape recorder in your pocket if you don't trust them.

I know T-Mobile does allow transferring. They charge a fee, though, but that depends on your plan. I was lucky enough that my old SIM fits in my new one. Otherwise, there might be adapters for sale somewhere on the internet.
