It's about my butt :/. Before when I've been younger I've had blood in my poop very rarely. In the past week or two, blood has been coming out a lot more- it sometimes turns the toilet water red. I looked online and it said it could be where I've strained too hard or it could be a haemorrhoid. However I also saw it could be anal cancer. I looked up anal cancer symptoms and it said bleeding from the anus is one. It also said a jelly like substance when you poop is another one. That has happened once or twice in the last month or so. My questions are: should I be worried? What could it be? Is it definitely not cancer?
Thanks for reading :)

It's most likely haemorrhoids.

First off, any symptom you look up on Google eventually leads to cancer.
Second, if you really are concerned about the risk of cancer, no one here can tell you whether it is or isn't. That's something you need to speak to a doctor about, even if it may be a little embarrassing or uncomfortable. Besides, it could not be cancer and then you just get a solution for whatever the problem actually is. Either way you get answers that teens on the internet are in no way qualified to give you when it comes to a question like this.

If it is something serious - there's a lot of things that can be serious before you get to cancer - the longer you put off seeing a doctor, the worse it will get.

Basically what everyone else said, It sound like you have had hemorrhoids for a long time now, but if you are concerned, the doctor is the place to go to get actual factual answers.

Don't be afraid to tell your parents.

Hey Miami Heat (Connor)
I really doubt you have anal cancer....but like others have said....you really should be telling your parents or a doctor; we're just kids on here LOL!
That having been said....I think that if the blood is red (as opposed to black) then that means that it's source is right near your anus....not further up in your intestines. The most common cause of blood there is from a tear (fissure) in the anal opening itself.
That is usually caused when you have been badly constipated and finally pass a large (wide) and hard poop.
What are your poops like? Are you one of those kids who doesn't go for a week or two....and then does "the big one"? You have a lot of company; I pooped like that for years. PM me if you want and I'll tell you how I finally fixed it.
If your poops are soft and there's still blood....then I'd go see a doctor. Sometimes just the worry of not knowing is worse than the problem itself....
Good Luck,
Marty

You have google induced cancer. D:
But in all seriousness, if you feel worried about it, I suggest visiting the doctor.

The truth in this saying.
Drink water.
Lots, and lots, and LOTS of water.
You can also try getting an over the counter stool softener.
Truth is, some people just have a hard time going.
The longer you hold it in, the harder it is to go. The harder it is to go, the more likely you're going to have the effects you are having now.
Water.
One question, though. Is the blood bright red or dark red? This matters a LOT, and can help to know where it's coming from.
