This is not a sex related post, but it does deal with puberty for guys.
In case you are too lazy to read my bio on my profile, I'm 16 male, soon 17 in 3 months.
I am growing chest hair a bit more now, more than usual. I normally just shave it with my happy trail as well, but it is starting to grow back at a faster rate. I'm not one to prefer chest hair.
So here are the questions
What is the prefer way to keep chest hair down?
Just keep shaving more often?
Do you prefer to keep chest hair?
And does shaving my chest hair really make it grow faster and with more thickness to the hair?

I have some slightly growing and I don't think shaving it if it is still growing is going to be the best thing to do. As of it growing quicker and thicker I would assume so since with normal hair (on your head) it does when shave when it's not had a chance to grow. How this helped :)

It doesn't actually grow back at a faster rate, it's because you split hairs when you shave them so it appears thicker than last time when actually hair grows continuously at the same speed. Personally I don't have chest hair - and I intend on keeping it that way.

What is the prefer way to keep chest hair down? Idk, I have a little bit of it. Not alot.
Just keep shaving more often? I dont shave it
Do you prefer to keep chest hair? Yeah
And does shaving my chest hair really make it grow faster and with more thickness to the hair? It depends on the genes of your parents.. For me, all my hair on my body grows faster and thicker.

What is the prefer way to keep chest hair down? Ideally, waxing.
Just keep shaving more often? If you want but it will be stubbly and girls hate stubble more than hair
Do you prefer to keep chest hair? Yes
And does shaving my chest hair really make it grow faster and with more thickness to the hair? No, that's a myth. A lot of people believe that but it just scientifically isn't true.
