I am really thin and in a few months will be 15 and barely have boobs 30AA and their just breast buds (which i have had for like 3 years now) but nothing droops but it slightly sticks out. My family have big boobs. I have been having discharge for about a year and a half but apparently you have to be developed to have your period but surely you have to have it by 15/16 yrs old? Please say how mature you looked when you started/was it all of a sudden (period)/how old you were and do you think in a year i could get a major growth spurt and within that time get a cup size bigger and get a period???

Please help and reply i don't feel comfortable talking about this in front of any one apart from on here.:(

I'm 18 now and I had about the same sized breasts at your age as I do now, which is just average but I'm not complaining because they're nice and perky. I don't want to worry you though.... a friend of mine had NO boobs at 15 and then all the sudden when she was like 18 she had DDs, lol. And it wasn't because she like gained weight or anything. She always complains about them because she says they're too big for her body and they hurt her back.

Hmm.. I had breast buds, some pubic hair, armpit hair, no waist. I was 12. It's been almost 2 years and my breasts have grown in many sizes, my pubes like tripled, and I have some curves in my waist/hips. As soon as you start (should be pretty soon within a year or soon) you will probably be a lot more developed. Don't worry about it k?

I was around 11 and I had small breast buds and a small amount of pubic hair, one of my friends has not had her period and she's 14. Everyone is diffrent how they grow, and trust me there's no real rush to start having your period.

REALLY no rush. I felt really grown up the first one and hated it every single time afterwards.

Also. Off topic but. This is my 100th post.

I'd been wanting it for months before so I wasn't that scared.. but my first period was very brown and so I thought a soiled my pants but when it continued I was like "Oh. Okay." It was also my sister's birthday.

Pretty much sums up how it was for me.

It's different for everyone. I was nine, so no, you don't have to be developed when you first get it if I'm any example. As for breast size, some girls do get larger breasts once they get their period but some girls don't. I'm 18 and I've had the same bra size since I was 11. I'm pretty much flat-chested and it's not really a big deal anymore (when I was your age, I wanted bigger boobs too).

On that note though, considering you say that you're very thin, once your metabolism slows down and you gain weight, you do get slightly bigger boobs, seeing as your breast tissue is basically 50% fat. Also, on the same note, how thin are you exactly? If you're classed as underweight by a doctor on your expected growth curve, you may not get your period for that reason. Girls who are underweight can experience no period or a loss of one. If you're really worried, your best bet is to speak to a doctor. I get that it's not really a conversation anyone wants to have with their doctor but talking about your period shouldn't be embarrassing. After all, you're supposed to have one.

But my sister got hers at 13. I have a friend who only gets her period once a year and she's completely healthy and no one can really explain it. Everyone develops at their own rate and your body will do what it wants when its ready.
