Ok so im going into my sophmore year of highschool and i am already setting my self up for a job almost right out of school. I am currently enroled in the schools welding program and am on the way to take a criminal justice class through the local community college where i also plan on going for my welding certification. I am also a member and state officer in skills usa, a techincal job based orginization of competitions for highschool and college age kids. This programs has copetitions in welding and criminal justice. So basicaly the idea is im set up for both. The problem is that i dont know what to choose. I plan on going into law enforcement or welding. The last four generations of family is in law enforcement including my dad, grandad, uncle, and brother who is attepting to get in. I lime this idea because it is tradition and i can have a family and stay in my hometown. Its not alot of pay but it keeps a family goin. With welding you make great money like a hundred dollars a hour. But you get no family life because you are following the pipeline in your little camper. I guess the whole point of this rant is: what should i choose, money or tradition?
