Is my friend gay or straight?

First of all, I am gay. My friend is a great guy and I really like him a lot. He has a girlfriend. I am wondeing if he likes me the way I like him. We hangout quite a bit (alone) and whenever he texts me, he always puts smiley faces in (but I think he just does that all the time). I just recently invited him to go see a movie with me, and when I asked him if he wanted a soda HE said "do you want to share one?" (Does that mean anything or am I reading into that too much?) Also, he knows I'm gay. (He assumed I was gay before I told him). I thought that once I came out to him, he might not want to be around me as much, however, its the opposite!
He texts me now and then asking if I want to hangout! Soooo... my question is...Do you think my friend is secretly gay and likes me, or is he just a really good friend that enjoys hanging out with me even thoughhe knows I'm gay?

Don't even worry about it, it doesn't matter. If he's gay, he'll tell you if and when he wants to. If he's not gay, then he's just being a friend.

Either way you have no right to assume.

Your friend is straight and just likes hanging out with you because he's a good friend, and that's what friends do. As for the "sharing a soda," he probably just didn't want to pay for his own and didn't want to drink too much. If he has a girlfriend and hasn't done anything to suggest he was gay, so my assumption is that he's just straight.

It can be either way mate, Alot of straight men (like myself) have no problem going to see a movie with his bro, or even sharing a soda. I say do not rush things and ESPECIALLY try not to get in between his relationship, if it's meant to be it's meant to be... if not... Well be a good friend and support his relationship ^^

Probably not. He has a girlfriend as you stated. I think he's just a really good friend of yours. If he was REALLY gay, he'd probably tell you himself.

Sounds like he is a great friend, most likely straight though. Just keep enjoying spending time with him. Also about the smilies in text, I know quite a few guys who do that with many of their texts, I like doing it myself, emoticons are just a fun little thing to do.

Sounds like you have a true friend there, you should not do anything to ruin the friendship. The only way you would find out is if you went round his one night and he made the first move. Then that is down to him!!!
