Your website section in TJP

Hey,

I think it would be a good idea to have a website section, whether a sticky thread or sub-forum for people to show off their sites.

I know that it is not an advertisement place, but I am sure many of the people here will have made a website.

My only issue with this is that it can invite people post up inappropriate websites and staff would have to go through the process of checking each site linked to see if their was inappropriate content on said site.

Plus, like you said, VT isn't a place to advertise.

Could you do it like needing to approve posts prior to them being shown!

I don't think its possible to put post moderation on for a specific thread.

Well I suppose I am only admins and mods on IPB and MyBB so I have no idea.

My issue with this (among other things) is that the thread will be public for any guests to see. This is also basically just advertising, in the same way it would be if a user created a thread for their site. So I say no for this. I get the idea and reasoning, but it doesn't work with VT.

I agree with Val. It doesn't really fit the "help site" atmosphere.
