What are you opinions on nationalism -- that is, the ideology that the world needs to be separated in different nations?
Edit: Had a link to a few reference pages that are now removed. Wow, that's... a terribly shallow way of spam detection.

Nationalism isn't merely the belief that the world needs to be separated into different nations.
Nationalism deals with the inclusion of different nation-states with similar history and culture, and common destiny to form a functioning political unit.
It also defines people on a global scale. Nationalism forms the national identities of a nation which distinguish one nation from another.
Nationalism intensifies the world's diversity.

Does the original poster intend to discuss the value of Nationalism in a sense of its original definition (the ideal that people culturally and geographically united have the right to be autonomous and have the right to a Nation-State) or in the new modern sense of "Putting one's nation and one's national identity above many other ways of identification"?

Usually ''nationalists'' are blinded fools.. Who bark when their told to bark and who have forgotten what countries were really made for and what it means to love your country.
