First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place, don't know where to put it. So if this needs to be moved, please do so mods.

Anyway, why do we wear underwear? Can't we just wear our pants and shorts? We don't wear under wear in the pool? I know it could be discomfort in jeans, but I'm sure they could have some sort of pading on the inside. Only logical reason I can think if, is privacy in the change rooms.

Nobody told you you HAVE to, but some reasons that people wear them are;

- For comfort
- To keep the inside of your clothes clean.

There's more, I just can't think of any.

they prevent irritation caused by any rough edges on the inside of your trousers

Mainly a hygiene issue. Also, if you have to change your pants, it'd be a bit embarrassing to be bottomless/half naked.

Who says we have to wear underwear? I never wear any and find it a lot more comfortable.

Many reasons have been given but mostly is to keep sweat from staining our outer clothes and as a layer to keep dirt away from sensible parts of the body.

The purpose of underwear was function and hygiene. Underwear is clothes worn under Other clothes, often next to the skin. They keep outer clothes from being made dirty by sweat. They also shape the body and provide support for parts of it and in cold weather help the wearer to keep warm.

Undergarments are clothes worn under other clothes, often next to the skin. They keep outer garments from being soiled by bodily secretions and discharges, shape the body, and provide support for parts of it. In cold weather, long underwear is sometimes worn to provide additional warmth. Some undergarments are intended for erotic effect. Special types of undergarments have religious significance. Some items of clothing are designed as undergarments, while others, such as T-shirts and certain types of shorts, are appropriate both as undergarments and as outer clothing. If made of suitable material, some undergarments can serve as nightwear or swimsuits.

I wear jeans a lot living on a farm and all. Pretty much have to wear underwear with them because zippers can be vicious to certin parts if ya know what I mean.

I almost never wear panties except in a skirt but sometimes even not then depending on what I doing. I wear a bra most of the time but there are many times when I just don't put one on. If I'm wearing a skit with no panties and someone sees up my skirt.... Nbd. Maybe it just doesn't bother me because I'm not very developed yet. Not wearing underwear feels feeding to me....

You don't have to wear underwear, its kind of uncomfortable anyway. It is cooler and feels more comfortable not to wear any. I have been freeballing for the past few months and haven't put any on since! People say that wearing it is more hygienic, but I sweat less when freeballing. You don't have to wear underwear, I would recommend not to, unless you shit your pants quite often which most of us probably don't!! Abercrombie has a lot of male models who pose freeballing and I bet if you went up to a greeter and pantsed them (which I highly DON'T recommend); there will be a spray tanned shaved cock hanging to the floor!!! LOL

Instead of asking "why do we have to wear underwear?"
Ask: Why do others wear underwear?"

It's a personal choice, I normally don't wear any underwear unless It's a school day that I have gym.

I wear them because they feel good and because it would feel weird without it. Other reasons are protection and comfort :)

I wind up forgetting half the time, so this was never a thought to me. But I guess it's just for comfort.

Can't disagree with those reasons as well it looking better while changing for P.E. it doesn't expose our sex organs. Plus -- for menstruating girls -- I guess it would be more secure for girls who use pads.

For comfort, and, in the case of bras, support.

Nobody has to wear any. Girls get periods, and often discharge all month long, so for hygiene it is convenient. Bras add support because believe me if you move too much it can really hurt.

Comfort. I'm not physically comfortable going commando. And even though I don't like wearing clothes at home, I'm much more comfortable in my underwear than nude, even when I have the house to myself.

To make it feel more comfortable. And to protect the private body.
