Hey, everyone!

Okay, so I'm a 19 year old guy and I've recently started shaving my legs. Not all of my legs, really just a bit above the kneecap and the thigh and such. I've always...err...manscaped my pubic hair, but I've just been sick of having huge bushels of hair on my thighs!

Anyway, I bought a new razor - that Gillette Pro Guide Styler thing there have been commercials for, and works fine and the shave on my legs seems pretty smooth. I shave in the shower, and there's no pain or anything WHILE I'm shaving. But afterwards I start to break out and my skin just gets SO irritated. At this point, the red bumps are just as annoying as all the hair! So what do you guys and girls think, should I use a woman's razor, is there something I should put on my legs before or after, besides just water? Is this something my skin will just get use to in time?

Let me know! Thanks for the help!

Are you not using any shaving cream or foam at all when you shave? If so, that's your main problem. It's razor burn, you need the cream or foam when shaving otherwise it hurts like fuck after. Also, after you have shaved, use some body lotion to moisturise the skin. Stick to the male razor, they are so much better than the women's ones.

Yeah I agree it seems like you are shaving dry. Use some cream before and lotion afterwards.

Why don't you just go get it waxed it would be easier

I agree that using lotion afterwords may help but staying with a guy razor and using shaving cream are something you should try before considering seeing dermatologist who may recommend sensitive skin shaving cream and/or lotion.
