My dad caught watching porn...wth?

Alright, I decided to finally let it out...I caught my dad watching porn...

When I caught him he didn't even try to close it down and well I don't care that he watches porn since it's probably only natural for him since he has a divorce with my mom and well...I was cutting him some slack.

BUT I even told him the last time I caught him that he can watch porn as long as he watches discreetly. Honestly my dad is a wreck since my mom had a divorce with him due to the fact that she came from Korea and comes from a different culture that I find interesting and yet quite strange.

Due to their differences they came to the conclusion they couldn't live with each other. So the outcome is my two brothers and I missing our mother whose far away [in Korea] and our dad who needs to really step it up.

Anyways, have you ever caught a family member or a friend watching porn? Was it awkward or did you just end up watching with them?

Never have, I've seen porn stored to the computer before and it was just me and my dad, also he has the door locked when he is home alone when I first come from school and when he comes out I can see that "after j/o bulge" so I know what he's doing lol.

Haha, funny thing is my brother doesn't care for "technology" now and likes to read so...yeah, you'll catch him reading books that have something to do with sex but he sometimes hides it with a different book cover that fits. :v He does know how to work technology he just prefers spending his time doing outdoorsy stuff while I'm stuck in my room most of the time.

Hi, Ninako. I can see how this may be an upsetting situation for you. While I've never been in something like this myself, I know people in a similar (but not identical) situation. If you don't want to look at it, I'd say just go somewhere else. If you're disturbed by your dad watching it, you can politely and objectively tell him you don't like him doing that. I'm sorry about your parents' divorce; that must make life very difficult for you and your family. Good luck to you, your brothers, your parents, and your entire family.

I don't think it's too big of an issue, to be honest. I wouldn't really watch it with them, that's a bit weird, but I'd probably just leave the room.

I never have caught anyone in my family, but friends, I've seen it on their computers. I never really mention it to them to avoid awkwardness. But I mean I truthfully wouldn't care if I walked in on my mom or dad. I would just probably never ask them about it and act like it didn't happen. No I haven't caught my parents watching porn but in case I had done it I believe I would have left the room giving them their privacy because I believe that it's a normal thing to do. Not a big deal.
In the case of your dad, it's sad only if he is stack on this only and not letting his life to go on. I hope he will change soon and start enjoying all the wonderful things around him with his family.
