I hope I'm allowed to post surveys up here... Oh well, I'll cut to the chase.

I'm conducting a study at uni about homosexuality and awareness in young teens, if you are between the ages of 13 and 16 and have a free ten minutes could you please do this survey for me. It would be very much aprecciated and a lot of help! (If you are over the age of 16 and wish to fill out this servey too, you are more than welcome).

5. When did you first understand the meaning of homosexuality and what it is? Well I've understood that being gay is being with people of the same sex since elementary school, but until about 2 years ago I never fully understood all that homosexuality encompassed and I'm still learning.

6. Have you used homosexual terms such as 'faggot' 'gay' etc. in a negative way to insult somebody? When I was young and ignorant, yeah I said 'gay' on occasion. I wised up.

9. Do you believe that homophobia is still a big problem in today's society? Very much so

10. Do you believe that an increase of awareness about homosexuals and their lifestyles will reduce discrimination and hate crime? Absolutely. I've seen it at work in my own school, family, and community. As people become less and less ignorant, they become less and less cruel.

5. When did you first understand the meaning of homosexuality and what it is? Good question. I have no idea when. But it was long ago when I knew what "gay" meant.

6. Have you used homosexual terms such as 'faggot' 'gay' etc. in a negative way to insult somebody? To insult someone? No. I don't use "faggot" though. That is just insulting. Do I use the term "gay", though? Used to, but not anymore, really. To me it's not as offending as the word "faggot", though it is still not good to use.

9. Do you believe that homophobia is still a big problem in today's society? Unfortunately, yes. :( For those who know who Fred Phelps is, you can understand the pain it causes. If you don't know who he is, it might be better if it stays that way.

Its equally split, but for girls considered "hot" to be lesbian is fine, guys love it, but any "ugly" (in my view all people are good looking, based on personality) girls get a huge amount of stick, along with gay guys but it depends on who knows and where you are

But if I'm in a place where I can be out and comfortable, I treat them differently because I can relate to them openly.

Gay males, because this is a male-dominated society, which means straight males tend to be opinionated, and more violent, especially to other males who are expected to be a certain way but they are different.
