I couldn't find a thread completely based on One Direction. But, What does everyone think of One Direction?

Eh, not really my thing, like, at all. But that song...I think it's called Little Things? I love. My boyfriend sings it to me sometimes, and I think it's adorable.

Hate me for saying this, but I'm actually a Directioner. My fav is Zayn, and I think their best song is Magic, Moments, or Truly Madly Deeply.

Justin Bieber was the same thing, so called "disney stars" were the same thing, etc.

Not exactly. Unlike Justin Bieber, they came from X-Factor, which means they had to prove they were actually talented, and not rely on a bunch of internet views to get them famous.

But yeah, there's better music out there, but for the genre they're in, they aren't really that bad.

Yeah I gotta say. comparing One Direction to Justin Bieber are totally different things. Justin Bieber does have a good voice, but his record deal made him into one of those auto tune. One Direction actually went on a singing show, and proved themselves to be talented.

I am a guy, and I can safely say that more than 90% of the guys who know about One Direction hate them. I am included in that majority.

I'm probably one of the few guys who doesn't hate them. Their music isn't good, but they seem like good guys, unlike JB.

While I definitely like them over Justin Bieber, I don't really care for their music. I admit that they're ok but they don't appeal to me.

One Direction doesn't use auto tune. Honestly, they sound better live. And while they do make simple messaged pop songs, they have SEVERAL songs with broad messages. Don't compare 1D to Bieber, either. The boys in One Direction have self respect, and don't act like arrogant douches. (And this is coming from a fan of the Biebs). Also. The majority of their fans maybe female, but the most vocal fans tend to be guys. (As you can tell).

Pretty indifferent... maybe they do have some vocal capabilities but there's no denying that the majority of their popularity comes from teen girls who find them attractive.

*Insert time-wrap to a couple of years later, where another boy-band/male singer comes to the scene, and the band that the fangirls say that they will love forever fade into obscurity.*
To me, 1D is more of the same auto-tuned, horribly made pop/rock garbage that we're all sick of. I can care less about them, and I'm here to see the boy-band/male singer cycle repeat again.

One direction....good but pop music(which I obviously what they sing) is the most bubblegummy of bubblegum music.However this band are quite cool and sing great party,jump-up-and-down-in-my-living-room songs.
