Have you found a reason for your low blood pressure? If anything, finding the cause for it would be a start! The link Natalie provided is helpful, if you stick to those it might prevent them.
If you start to feel lightheaded, there is a way that you can prevent yourself from passing out, at least. Or, if you have already fallen out, inform your family / friends to do the following for you:
1) Gently lower yourself to the floor, watch head.
2) Raise legs above head or get someone to hold your legs up above heart level. If you cannot do it yourself and there is no one else to help you, prop your feet up and get in a position where you head and abdomen are the lowest point of your body.
The entire reason for 'passing out' because of low blood pressure is the lack of oxygen in the brain. By lowering yourself to either 180 degrees or with your legs above your heart, a majority of the oxygen in your body will flow back to your brain.
-Resources:
Did a research project on NSC (Neurocardiogenic Syncope - Fainting due to low blood pressure).
Personal experience with NCS.
If you do not know what causes your low blood pressure, you can try asking to have a Tilt Table Test. It's an easy test. I've had it done. If it's persistent enough that it causes problems with your daily activities, I suggest you try and see just in case there is something more serious other than dehydration or malnutrition (likely causes).
Hope this helps,
Amy
