I think it all depends on how conventional/customary your family is. If you have a traditional, Christian family, and they're expecting you to be abstinent until marriage, I'm not sure it's the best idea to tell them in the first place. If you have a more American family that is aware of the present day situations and accept it, (ig. providing you condoms/birth control), then I think I would just bring it up after a nice dinner with your father or something.

I don't really get why the above stated that its some kind of horrible thing tell your parents you're not a virgin. I guess because my parents said to tell them so that they know that im being safe or something but thats my parents so i don't know. It's not like they'd be totally accepting of it, but they'd understand. I think if your parents are somewhat like this than tell them. It's not like they won't love you anymore or something. The worst they can do is ground you and that wouldn't do much because you're still going to have sex anyway. Why do you want to tell them?
