I've got one there great but if u drop it it really breaks bits on it...unlike most laptops which can survive a few drops before things break

I wouldn't go entirely on what you hear here if you're trying to figure out if you want to buy a particular laptop. If you have something in mind, find a place that has one, and go and mess around with it as much as you can, and look at it, see how sturdy and well made it is, and see how you like it.
Do NOT just go off what you hear online, or because it looks good. I bought a laptop a few years ago because it looked good, had good specs, and seemed to have good ratings (although it didn't have a lot of ratings). I got it, and I've had a lot of problems from it since. Come to find out, a lot of others had had the same issues with it I have.
But the point is, check whatever you want to buy out in person before you make a decision. You'll thank yourself for it.
As for Toshiba Laptops, I don't have a LOT of experience with newer ones, but I know the older ones (Mid 1990's, Pentium I's, Hah) were quite good, and quite well made. I've seen a few Semi-Newer ones that were still functioning properly. I do have one friend, thought that Has/Had one (I don't actually know if he still has it) that had a lot of things die on it, and it kept over heating, and I believe his hard drive died, among other things. He bought it probably back in 2005. I don't have any experience with newer ones then that. But, you can't base an entire company's line of computers on one or two, or even a couple different bad stories.

I've been running this Toshiba laptop for 3 years now and it's still perfectly fine. Not a good gaming machine, but it works well.

Try looking up brand reliability on places like consumer reports.
