Okay, I finally got myself a shiny new gaming rig

Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i7 4770
RAM: Corsair Vengeance (16GB; 2x8GB)
Motherboard: MSI H87-G43
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate

So happy :)
I get ~350 FPS on Minecraft with far render distance (and no Optifine!) and if anyone plays Minecraft they'll know what a feat that is.

Heh. You don't want to know. Bad laptop, Intel Core i5, 500 GB hard drive, Intel Integrated HD Graphics. 2 GB RAM. Yuck.

Rude! :whoops::P;) Mine's worse than that, 320GB, 8GB RAM, Intel Celeron @2.10Ghz Dual Core and Integrated Graphics. I'm happy with it, but I wouldn't say it's Bad D:

nice specs.

but windows 7 is sort of very old...

Looks like a pretty solid system for some mid-high gaming :D.

And props to you sir for using windows 7 over 8 :)

Yeah since he said it was a gaming computer, I would have gone with the 4670k. Save a hundred bucks.

How much did it all cost?

I'm looking to build my own gaming desktop in the future (probably around November when things go on sale for the holidays) and build it after my first semester ends so I can play some games (my current laptop can't handle almost half the games I own).

I'll probably post something here when I get closer to having all the money and time to work on it, so I'll have to ask you (and everyone here) for some advice in terms of parts and constructing it since I've never built my own computer before.

I am gonna assume he built it, and from the specs, I'd say a price tag of $800-$1000
