Family and friends

I harm to get relief from my reality and past, My friends help me all the time by making me join things like this but I can't tell my parents for some reason. I always think they will yell at me and not help me so I turn to my friends for help. Some more than others help me with my cutting but I really want a family member to help I've thought about telling my brother but I haven't had a conversation with him for years because he abused me when I was younger, so I don't really have a family member to turn to. One of my friends told me about off the record But it old him I dont want to talk to someone I dont know and tell them that I havE a problem and that I need to confide with a stranger to get help. Then theres this girl who wants to go out with my friend and so to get attention she writes that she wants to die on her arm and rubs her arm knowing full well I cut,she started this after she found out about it. I just want someone who knows how I feel and understand me truly.

Thats what is soo great about VT it helps to just splurge all of your feelings and emotions. Coz people on these sites come here for much the same reasons usually. I get what you mean though about wanting someone close to you to know. I f you do tell someone please tell me how it goes coz i'm tryign to figure out how to tell my BF coz i don't want to hide it from him any more, so i'm hoping to get someinspirations :) Also i totaly agree with the taling to a strager thing - i just feel uncomfortable coz imagine if you see that person soemwhere and start talking to them, i would feel as thoguh i am being constantly watched and scruitinised by them over what i have prevously told them. (My firend is trying to get me to talk to the school psych but i don't like the idea - don't get em wrong the guy is really friendly and easy to talk to, I just find it eaasier to talk to my friends as they are closser tomy age and i don't haev to say things in the most formal of manners :)
