View Full Version : Friend With no Pubic Hair

I was just curious because I have a friend at school who doesn't seem to have any pubic hair. I've only made this assumption from seeing his arm pits, stomach and he doesn't have to shave. He seems quite developed as his voice is broken and I've seen in the change-rooms that he has a big bulge and is the same age as me.
I don't know if some people just don't get pubic hair or if he has just developed everything quickly except for pubic hair. (but I find this hard to believe as he seems to be already mostly developed)
I know it's none of my business but the question has been pestering me for ages!

Well if it's none of your business don't ask him. Just because he doesn't shave and you made the assumption by looking at his armpits then you really have no right to ask him.
So I'm just wondering. Why did you ask eve nthough you know it's none of your business?

I don't know why you are so interested.
He most probably does - just for obvious reasons you won't see it.

Yeah that's probably the most obvious one.
So as I said it's none of your business to ask him.

Oh... I didn't ask him and I would never think to ask him! I was just curious about it.

Well then why did you think he had no pubic hair? Just because you look at someone doesn't mean that they do or don't have any pubic hair.

Because I saw his underarms. Basically, I posted my question on here to know if people only get pubic hair in some places and not in others or if some people don't get it at all.

Dude, just because he doesn't have underarm hair, doesn't mean he's got no pubes. As you probably already know, underarm hair comes in much later, for most people atleast.
He might seem quite mature, but maybe his underarm hair is just taking more time then usual. I know for a fact that my underarm hair took quite a long time to grow. It was ages after I got pubes that I started seeing hair under my arms. Everyone is different.

ok, that makes sence...thanks!
While browsing the forums, I also saw that it's in some people's genes not to have pubic hair or not to have much of it.

of course, the real issue here is why someone elses development would 'pester' you 'for ages'. What's that about? Sounds like you feel competitive with him for some reason.
Anyway, there's usually a correlation between the signs you can see (or in the case of voice changing, hear) and the stuff you cannot. So, if there are some signs of puberty, then it's safe to assume there are others, as well. And pubic hair appears pretty early on, so if he's got some voice cracking and what not, then you should assume he's got some pubic hair development as well.

And sooner rather than later, he'll start the underarm hair growth phase.

Erm, I think what was pestering him was wondering was wondering this:

Not really specifically on his development.

I'm calm, too. I accept other people's right to see or understand things differently than myself. I actually like that, learning from others, and how they can experience the same things as me and have a different perception or understanding of it. As long as it's done respectfully, I'm willing to listen and change my ideas or understandings. And typically, we're a pretty respectful bunch here.
However, if you re read the OP's remarks, it's easy to interpret them as his ongoing concern about this particular person's development, rather than the OP's general curiosity about a particular aspect of anyone's development, as he later corrected.
I appreciate the clarification, and can now see how that could be the OP's original assertion.

I don't have any facial or armpit hair yet, but I have pubic hair, so if you looked at me you would probably think the same thing.
