There was this boy in school. We're not friends, but he talked to me. This is how it went:

Him: James!
Me: Yeah?
Him: So you think you can defend yourself, huh?
Me: I guess?
Him: We'll see about that.

Should I take that as a threat? I don't know if this makes a difference, but he's Mexican. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Mexico. One of my best friends is Mexican. I was just putting that out there. I'm only concerned because I know if he fights me, he'll bring 5 friends to help. I could easily take him on alone, though. So is that a threat?

What does him being Mexican have to do with anything?
Tell a teacher that he threatened you, or maybe try reasoning with him? Because it's obvious it was a threat whether he meant for it to be taken seriously or not. I have a hard time believing he just threatened you out of the blue like that, assuming you guys have no prior history with each other. Either there's more to this story of your's or this guy is a violent sociopath. I'm hoping it's not the latter because then he'll probably confront you no matter what.
