Two school years ago (2011 - 2012) there was this kid at my school named Trent who I thought would be nice to be friends with. Unfortunately he seemed pretty mean and since I had trouble making friends even with people who were nice, I decided not to bother.
But hey, sometimes good things happen! He started talking to me once and it turned out he was really nice. The only problem was the only block we shared was PE, and we didn't have the same teacher so the only chance we got to talk was at the end of each class when we were waiting for the bell. Even so, it was still nice to have someone to say hi to in the hallway.
Just as good things happen, bad things happen too. Last year, Trent was diagnosed with dyslexia and his parents sent him to a special school. It was back to the drawing board for me. Or I suppose we use AutoCAD now, don't we? No matter what you use for drawing, Trent was gone.
But I was pleasantly surprised once more when Trent told me in March he was coming back to my school next school year. Now I'm in summer school to catch up with a few courses and I found out Trent is here too.
I'm nervous about talking to him again. His demeanor is fairly intimidating, and he can be really mean to people he doesn't like. I know we're friends and I don't need to worry about that, but it's still hard. I saw him today but was too scared to stop.
So how do I do this? What should I say?
