Update June 29: Outrageous! Participants of St. Peterburg Pride were reportedly arrested today. According to reports 60 Pride marchers are in custody and will be charged under Russia's anti-free speech laws which prohibit public conversations or displays about gay people.
Anti-gay activists also allegedly violently attacked innocent participants. Several were badly injured.

Update June 19: Sad news - we just heard that Coming Out, a big Russian gay rights organisation, was condemned to a heavy fine as a "foreign agent". They will appeal - check back for updates. But the world is hearing our voices. Germany, a key partner of Russia’s - is now demanding an end to this crackdown. Add your name to the petition and share with friends, for Coming Out and all Russians who believe in equality.
Update June 12: the situation is worsening. Russia has just passed a new anti-gay law makes it illegal even to say the word “gay”. People in Russia standing up against the crackdown are urging All Out members to keep growing the petition to help draw the attention of world leaders and the media.
Crisis in Russia: two brutal murders for being gay within weeks as the Russian government bans Pride marches and pushes a new anti-gay law. And this Tuesday, a major Russian gay rights organisation will go on trial to fight closure.
Russian people struggling against the crackdown are calling for help. They need international pressure and media attention. Can you help by signing the petition?
