If I poke the area about 6 inches under my left armpit I get a sharp pain. I realized it about 4 days ago. It's not awful, I usually forget about the pain unless I poke it on purpose or sleep wrong. I'm simply concerned if it might be cancer (I'm paranoid like that). If I was poking a tumor would it hurt?

Cancer itself does not hurt.

can you be more specific where the pain is? what kind of pain? an ache? a throb? stabbing?

could be internal bleeding? like a bruse? just go see a doctor, better safe than sorry

If I were you, I wouldn't do anything. It doesn't seem serious enough to go to the doctor (unless there was clear bruising for no reason).

No, cancer doesn't hurt unless the growth is pushing against something. A growth itself is painless, it's like if you grew a mole, if you poked a mole, it wouldn't hurt at all.

Maybe pulled a muscle and now you're sore? If you do some sort of physical work or movements that you aren't used to, you may feel pain/soreness in that area a day or two later...

Have you been sick recently? It could be pluriatic stuff, which really isn't a big deal, it's just painful. It's normally caused by having a virus, and I can't remember how that leads to this, but it can. I have issues with it, it's no fun, but like I said, harmless other than pain.
