Heller, I'm Quentin and I'd like to start off by admitting that I'm breaking one of the mandatory rules of summer: I'm up before noon, and I actually got up at 5:30 because I couldn't sleep, oh well! :P

I'm just an average 16 year old that lives in Texas, and I'm not a very "country" person. I've lived here all my life and I don't have much chance to travel anywhere, which I'm okay with. Umm, my name suggests I'm of distant French descent, but besides that, I'm just boring ol' 'Murican. :P

For the past 3 years I've suffered from fluctuating, un-diagnosed depression; although very recently I've broken the vicious cycle with no help or support from anyone (that ironically being one of the major causes of it in the first place). Now I'm doing my best to move forward and cover as much ground, emotionally and mentally, as possible.

As for my school life, I live in a very small town of only 1500 people and go to a very small school. I make almost all A's, except for one 89 through the whole year, and I'm one of those "gifted" people. The cause of the break in the streak of A's throughout my school year was an insane amount of ongoing stress, which ultimately placed school at the lowest point possible in my priorities. The closest stereotype I resemble would have to be the nerd, and I even have the trademark glasses! I'm also a band nerd.

I don't have any sort of solid interest currently, as I'm unfortunately one of the hopeless teenagers that has too many interests for his own good. Despite that, the main theme the majority of my interests share is technology, so that's my best bet at the moment haha.

I joined this forum because I enjoy giving advice and I'm hoping I can put that passion to good use here. Oh, and of course to talk with other teens my age that I can relate to. :)

Oh, thanks haha. My name is a newer one I recently adopted. There's always a deeper meaning to it.

And thanks again for the congrats.. It's been hard, but all teenagers have trouble adapting to the real world. I hit some bumps too, although my situation is a little more unique than most, but I'm out of it for the most part. I'm especially glad I would never bring myself to self harm or anything close.

I'll be sure to make plenty of friends!

I've already seen quite a few of your posts and your advice is extremely helpful. I sincerely hope you stick around. And welcome to VT! If you have any questions, feel free to ask one of the regulars. :)

Yerp, relating definitely is nice whenever I'm able to. I'm glad you found a good friend you can depend on, you're pretty lucky. :)

Ah, well thank you! That's actually the biggest reason I joined this site, because I enjoy giving advice. Unfortunately, I'm unable to share my thoughts on situations that much, which is why I joined. I wanna put it to good use.

Of course, the other reason I joined is for friends, which are inevitable. :P
