As the title says. Is your gut always right. Also what is your gut feeling, how can you tell its your gut feeling.

I asked the question wrong... If you have a gut feeling the girl you like would like to go out with you should you trust it?

It may not always be true that the girl likes you if you have a gut feeling she does, otherwise it would be called a fact and not your gut feeling. A gut feeling can best be described as an intuition or an instinctive response towards something, despite not always having rationale behind it. If you have solid reasoning to believe the girl likes you (maybe she showed you signs to lead you on) then you have some evidence and rationale on your side, so then it wouldn't be necessarily a gut feeling as much as it would be a presumption or an educated guess.

50% of the times is true and 50% is not. :P

A gut feeling is an assumption you make on a situation, on a yes and no situation, the odds are 50/50. You should trust it as there is always a 50% chance it is right.

This answer your original and your revised questions.

i think if you have that feeling you should at least try to see if she likes u by asking her to a movie or smething and see what she says because if u dont do something about it then it will pass u by and she will move on

When it comes to starting romantic relationships, trusting yourself and your feelings are some of the things you should aspire to do. Will they always lead to success with every girl? Of course not, but you'll soon find that the relationships you have pursued because you have genuine feelings for this person (and not for some other less redeemable reasons, like sex or status) will be worth it in the end. You should try to find a way to act on it at least, or else that gut feeling and sense of uncertainty you have right now will most likely turn into regret later on if you don't. Asking her out is the only sure way you'll know if she would like to go out with you or not. You're already single so it's not like if she said no you would suddenly be downgraded or something, it's a low risk-high reward situation at this point. If she says no, you have an honest answer and can move on. If she says yes, mission accomplished. The worst thing you can do is not make a move and be left with the uncertainty of what may have been, a regret that can very easily eat away at you. Have a little faith, ask her out.

Your gut is only right when she likes you. :/
Just be nice to her. Talk to her. Get more data points.

Yeah, I would say trust your gut feeling. The worst she can do is say no, but girls are usually flattered when they're asked out. It's not like she'll never talk to you again, and if it doesn't work out, she'll probably act like nothing happened. But you have a gut feeling for a reason, so it's best to at least try and see what she says.

Trust your instincts, but beware when you want to believe something is true...
