__________ should be independent from __________.

__________ should NOT be independent from __________.

From Kosovo, Scotland, or Catalonia to Quebec, Euskadi, or Tibet to even Texas, Wales, or Kurdistan.

Discuss your views on any of the various independence movements across the world. Say if you support them, or not. If you truly wish to win a place in my heart of hearts, shoot up an argument on why or why not __________ should achieve its independence, whether it be based in politics, history, ethnic association, society, or economics.

So, let's begin.

Kosovo should not be independent from Serbia on the terms currently offered.
Through history Serbs were living there, oppressed during Ottoman rule. I do not want it turnimg into a NATO puppet banana republic
I could accept it being independent if it was a federation with 2 areas, one controlling the mostly Serbian populated part, led by a Serbian politician, and the other area should control the mostly Albanian populated area, led by an Albanian politician. I think both of those areas should have a decent dose of autonomy. I would put something like a senate with an equal amount of both Serbs and Albanians.

Scotland shouldn't be independent simply because with Alex Salmon is as a leader we'd be screwed within 5 years. Scotland doesn't have enough of its own economy to support itself.

he is so funny, he says 'we will keep the pound!' Westminster says 'no we have not agreed on that, its up to us' then Europe say ' all new countries joining us have to adopt the euro' the man has no clue, britian is strong country and it would be pointless for Scotland to leave, I see no good independent argument apart from blind nationalism, it can only end badly for them

So something similar to how the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska works?

Yes. Due to past conflicts, I think it is the best solution. I would like Thaci removed. He is a monster, he forcefully extracted organs from Serbian POWs in the worst conditions, leaving them to die. His paramilitary organisations also committed genocides, but he is not answering for his attrocities.
