There are so many threads about this. Oh well, I believe Mac is better in general however when it comes to specific uses of a computer (like say gaming or work) Windows is probably better.

You'll never catch a virus with a Mac? You can still afford a doctor if you buy PC.

I am a mac lover, but i don't need as much programs as Windows has. That's the interception point.
If you have to choose, preferably chack what you need before buying.

PC, Macs are too overpriced for what they are. I can buy a top spec PC for the price of a low spec Mac

PC. Then again, this is coming from a person who's almost never used a Mac and is already turned off by the prices for them.

I love my mac, I write my code and use it for all the basics like youtube, email, light gaming, and of course VT forums! I own a PC as well but I use it almost solely for gaming.

I have a Mac, and it will never have Windows installed on it.
I like Mac OS for it's reliability; I do a lot of programming, and found Windows to be unreliable for it at times. Switching to Mac was the best decision I ever made (in regards to technology)
I also like the fact that I can run it 24/7 without even a hint of a problem (for example, Windows would beg you for reboots, or start acting sluggishly at the 20-30 day uptime mark) - My Mac was on for 90 days straight and it was running perfectly; a power failure ruined its uptime streak though :(
Obviously they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but for me personally, Mac is the best choice. (I'll be buying a second one later this year :D)

I use both and like/dislike both for different reasons.
In my personal bias, Macs are better at artistic creations, while Windows based PCs have a much wider game selection and are often much easier to upgrade.

Well a Mac IS a PC.
I have Dual-boot W8.1/Linux on both PCs o' mine.
(Also, Mac != MAC. MAC is the computer network card's ID.)

Mac. I currently run a cMBP with sandy bridge 2.3 i5, pretty much the basic model for 2011. I can VM/parallels or bootcamp windows 7 pretty well, which provides everything else I need. Also, awesome residuals mean my current cMBP is still worth just 350 down from what I bought it for, so that's cheaper than getting a self-destructing PC.
Next Mac is absolutely going to be rMBP when the Broadwell chips come out. That and Maxwell (860M?) is going to be awesome, since I can probably do everything I can ever want (photo editing, school work, gaming) all at the same time. Haswell and Kepler just don't really work as well now, since its 2014.
But for a <1500 multimedia machine, home-built PC all the way.

I would really love to have a mac. Mainly the high price keeps me from it.
I currently have a decent windows laptop that I do most of my gaming on and am looking to upgrade. A mac would be great but I just can't find the money to buy one.
