Need dating help

Ok so here's what happened 2 years ago when I was in 7th grade I meant this girl at a school dance. We'll call her Madison. Ok so me and her meant at the dance through a mutual friend. She's a year older than me to. Anyways we talked for a long time that night. So then there was another dance and we talked a lot more there. Then that was it. Dances were over after football season was over. She's a cheerleader I don't do sports I'm a farm boy. Anyways the school year went by and when I saw her in the halls I would talked and she'd high five me and all that. Then the school year was over. That summer I texted her a couple times and she never texted me back. Also she did a thing on Facebook that said message me a number and ill say date or pass. She said that she didn't know me that well but maybe. And I really like this girl a lot. She's perfect for me. Anyways my friend said he's trying to talk to her about me but I think he's lying. One other friend said she doesn't like me. So I really don't know what to do. There's Guna be a thing tomrrw that I'm pretty sure I know she's Guna be at. How should I approach her? What should I say? What should I text her? I'm really confused but i really like her and want a relationship. Any help would be a appreciated thanks :) btw I'm going into 9th now and her 10th grade

You're asking us what to say? Just be yourself and go talk to her. Do you know anything about her, like her interests, that you can make for conversation? Part of building a relationship is getting to know each other, so it's up to you to establish that connection. As for the text, just ask her whether or not she's really going to be at this "thing" and if you guys can hang out together there. I wouldn't know what to say to her in a conversation because I don't know the girl, so I can't really help you there. Unless you want some cheesy one liners and pick up lines of course.
