It awesome. My girlfriend and I have been best friends since we were 4, so 13 years. I think it creates a much deeper connection in the end, and I also think it contributes to the strength of the relationship. We know eachother so well that we know each other as well as we do our selves. It's kind of a cool thing!!

So instead we try to pursue other relationships, but then they don't work out, so we go back to each other. It's been that way for almost a year now. I had met my best friend 4 years ago we started out as friends but he fell in love with me and was obsessively persistent that we be together. We had an on again off again type of thing. At some point I really was in love with him or I was in love with the idea of being in love cause our relationship never works out so I broke up with him but he has a hard time just being friends and it is so frustrating. Dating your best friend can either go really well or in my case really bad.
