Why is there no thread for...

I was just wondering why there was no section for alcohol and alcohol and abuse. I feel like it should have its own thread. I seen two alcohol questions in Drugs and meds but were both locked. Can a mod please shed some light on the situation.

Well, there's a sticky (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=85971) for addictions, at the top of the Drugs & Meds forum. It doesn't focus solely on alcohol addiction, but overall, it is really helpful. :)

Alcohol related questions in drugs and meds should not be locked. Alcohol is a drug, it falls into that section.

I think the forum should be renamed to Alcohol, Drugs & Meds. With just Drugs & Meds, it seems more around overdosing medication or illegal substance abuse rather than alcohol too, which most people don't realise is a drug. But yes, I do agree there isn't a need for a new section on it.

I agree with Tweety on that it should be renamed, that would probably be the best route to go, because I feel as if people just feel as if there limited to Illegal substance and controlled substance by the name.
