I always flirt with girls for awhile and then when I go to ask them out they tell me they only like me as a friend. What am I doing wrong?

There's nothing your doing wrong, its just the girls just want to be your friend right now. Just give them time. They may start liking you later on, it depends on how long you have known them. If your only flirting with them for like a week or two then that's going a bit fast but if you have known each other for months then I think it's time to give up on them and find someone else. It also depends on how strong you come onto them as well, they may feel uncomfortable on how you flirt with them, but anyways just continue flirting and stuff and get to know them better. Hope this helps and hope you get things sorted out.

There is nothing wrong with you, is just how things are in life, you will eventually find the one who will click with you. So far the "limerence" had not happen on both of you, or even either. this vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGK2KprU-To) is quite good at explaining the why most time we end up on the friendzone.
Remember, sometimes you just need to work harder to make them see more than a friend, some it just happens. And by the way, pay attention because it is probable that without noticing, you have friendzoned some nice girls too. :D

I have the exact same problem, I think it comes down to thinking it's going to go somewhere and just keep prolonging the time where you tell them you like them? I've found it's easier to get with girls that aren't from your school or area because you may have built up a reputation of being every girl's best friend?
From my own experience I'd say branch out from where you are now, I've met a great girl and wouldn't have done so if I was still fruitlessly getting to know girls at my own school, but whatever your course of action; good luck!
