Hello everyone, i'm Zak, I recently turned 18. I'm pretty skinny and I'd like to build up muscle but I don't have the money to buy a gym membership/weights so i'm stuck to what we have around the house.
Does any one have any tips? this is pretty embarrassing but i sometimes struggle to even do a push up, it's like my upper body strength is non-existant lol

I'd work on doing a couple more push ups each day, to start building that upperbody strength. If you're able to buy some dumbells (which should be pretty cheap) you can also look into resistance bands.

There are many excises you can do at home. I'm just like you Zak with the whole being skinny thing. Though I can do my fair share of push-ups. The internet has a lot of examples and new exercises you could look at. So you can just look it up in Google. I'd just advise you to continue doing push-ups, sit-ups/crunches, squats, pull-ups, lunges, wall sits, chair dips, jump and sits etc.
For starters don't go all out. You need to slowly work you're way up. You need to make a routine and certain workout days that target a specific group such as arm, legs, abs, chest, and back. Start of with a low amount of reps and set. Then as you get use to it gradually increase them both. When exercising you should be feeling the burn and by the end of each set you want to be tired. It's important not to over work your muscles and to take a minute break between reps.

first off don't over do it starting out...if you want to build mass do heavier weights with less reps...if you want to tone and define do less weight with more reps...eat a lot of protein to build muscle...our trainer for the team I'm on said do upper body one day lower body next...alternating gives your muscles a chance to heal and build up. Oh..and stay hydrated :D
Don't get discouraged if you don't see much change at first...it is a marathon not a sprint :)

Start off slow. You can hurt your self if you over due it. I would see about talking to some people at the gym.
